Avonlea SDA church was formed in the early 2010s being a child branch from Marbelreign North church. After the dedication of Avonlea as a standalone church, the church steadily grew from having less than 50 members to now over 200 members.
Currently, Avonlea SDA church is headed by Pastor Trymore Mutimwii who is supported by a group of appointed local leaders below:
Head Elder: Mr. Maparura
Second Head Elder (s): Mr. Matare and Mr. Makokoro
Personal Ministries Director: Ms. R. Muronda
Etc.
The church falls under the Golden Stairs East District under the North Zimbabwe Conference.
The members attend specialized lessons and programs meeting their needs in terms of age, gender, marital status, etc. The clubs are as follows:
This constitutes of children below the 16, covered by sub-clubs such as Cradle Row, Kindergarten and Primary/Pathfindering)
This constitutes of young adults above 15 and below the 35, covered by sub-clubs such as Ambassadors, Young Adults and the Silver Club.
This constitutes of all males in the church from the age of 16 and up.
This constitutes of all females in the church from the age of 16 and up.
